Regarded as both highly analytical and ‘a highly gifted intuitive’, she guides business clients to build better internal communication, transparency, leadership, and presence. For personal clients, she helps develop the ability to say anything, to trust, and tune into unexpressed energy and inspiration to walk new paths. Therese has taught Communication and Leadership skills at Rutgers University’s Labor Education Center. As a child performer herself, with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and having started on the air as a teenager, Therese is a natural mentoring young people, and has served as a Broadcast Mentor with AFTRA-NY. She has extensive experience with people in recovery and their gifted children, and has coached children with autism at the Warren NJ YMCA.
Her voice is best known and recognized as the Afternoon Host on WCBS NewsRadio. During the 1990’s she was a touchstone with listeners and newsmakers, and hosted Christine Todd Whitman on ‘Ask the Governor’ for seven years. By Gubernatorial appointment Therese became an original Board Member of the Garden State Preservation Trust, saving open space in NJ, and appeared in a video PSA for Morris Land Conservancy.
Her Network broadcast career began at age 21, the youngest-ever Network News Anchor. At the RKO Radio Networks, she became part of their award-winning NASA Space Shuttle coverage. After the Networks were acquired by Dick Clark’s broadcast partnership, she became the youngest Network VP/News and Sports for the Unistar Radio Networks, (now part of the Westwood One organization) directing three worldwide news bureaus and a news operation serving some 500 radio affiliates. She is known in the industry for her skill at covering live breaking news events. After leaving the Networks, Therese spent time in the world of politics, from state to presidential, and emerged with her coaching methods. The influence of terrorism on her career and life inspired her as a behind-the-scenes motivator in the recovery from 9/11.
She served as an on-line facilitator in the Town Hall-style dialogue, Listening to the City, about rebuilding WTC.
Therese has served as a media consultant to Johnson & Johnson, as well as a voice-over artist for Ortho, and Staten Island University Hospital. Television work includes ABC News Now Digital TV and Web, and hosting ‘CN8 On Call’, a prime-time television health/medical phone-in show on the Comcast Network.
In performance, Therese has appeared in HBO Original Movies including ‘Hostages’, created a one-woman music show on New York’s Restaurant Row, a CD titled ‘Unholy’, and has sung with the legendary Les Paul during his regular Monday nights in NY. She has been a presenter on Audible.com, the major purveyor of the spoken word on the Internet, where she was the voice of Daily Guideposts, the Harvard Medical Center’s Women’s Health Watch and Harvard Management Update. She’s performed voiceovers for CBS Television, has appeared on WOR Radio in New York and as a fill-in host on the nationally syndicated ‘The Joan Rivers Show’.
From a TWA family in Chicago, Therese traveled widely as a child. She arrived in New York and New Jersey by way of Cambridge, England, Scottsdale, Arizona, where she was a morning drive personality at KOPA Radio, and WCIL Radio, Carbondale, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University (home of the Salukis).
She currently serves at Overlook Hospital in Summit NJ as a Eucharistic Minister.
